The Sandbox is a community-driven platform where creators can monetize voxel ASSETS and gaming experiences on the blockchain. SAND is the utility token used throughout the Sandbox ecosystem as the basis for transactions and interactions. It is an ERC-20 utility token built on the Ethereum blockchain.
The Sandbox was initially a mobile gaming platform, which was launched in 2011 by Pixowl Inc and then the co-founders of Sandbox, Arthur Madrid and Sebastien Borget decided to explore the potential of creating 3D Metaverse on the blockchain platform in 2018.

Arthur Madrid - Co-Founder & CEO
At present, he is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sandbox; Chief Executive Officer of Pixowl Inc; and Board member of Animoca Brands. Prior to this, he founded Wixi.com and 1-Click Media Networks; he was an Investor at Producteev by Jive; and Consultant at Eurogroup Consulting France.
Sebastien Borget - Co-Founder & COO
Currently, he is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Sandbox and Pixowl Inc; and President at Blockchain Game Alliance. Previously, he was the Technical Project Manager at ipercast; Chief Operating Officer at Wixi.com; Project Leader at 1-Click Media Networks; and Intern at Motorola Mobility.
Lucas Shrewsbury - CTO
At present, he is the Chief Technology Officer of Sandbox and Pixowl Inc. Previously, he was the Technical Lead and Programmer Coordinator at Gameloft; and Programmer at INTI.
Marcelo Santurio - CFO
Currently, he is the Chief Financial Officer of Sandbox. Previously, he was the Regional Director of the Stars Group and Creata; Managing Director of Convergia; Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Segulink.com; Associate Manager at Bank of Boston; and Project Leader at Telecom Argentina.
Pablo Iglesias - Lead Developer
At present, he is the Lead Developer of Sandbox; and Lead iOS Programmer/Game Designer of Pixowl Inc. Previously, he was a Co-Lead Game Programmer of Atommica; Semi Senior Programmer at Sabarasa Entertainment; and Java Game Port Programmer at Gameloft.
